I’ve always struggled with motivation and discipline. I go back and forth between both of them, and I could never get what I want to be done.

Every day was a massive struggle.

The night before, I would look at my entire day and tell myself, “Wow, I did nothing at all today except play games. I really need to get things done.”

When the sky was all dark, and everyone in the house was sound asleep, I took out a pencil and piece of paper and scribbled all my plans for tomorrow.

Tomorrow, I will wake up at 5 AM, go running, then write a blog post for Get Good At Badminton, then do my English course, then my Social Studies course, then write a blog post for each of them, and then write another blog post for KAZSMoney.

Then the next day I woke up at 5 AM, stared at my phone, and went back to sleep until 9 AM.

When 9 AM hit, I got up lazily from my bed with dark circles under my eyes and meandered into my washroom. I was still half-asleep when it hit me, “Shit, I was supposed to go running at 5 AM!”

But my body didn’t feel like it. I wasn’t motivated enough. “I’ll do it tomorrow, I told myself.”
