How I Cope With Negative Emotions

I’m no stranger to anger, fear, sadness, etc. Negative emotions used to crush me, but now, I can move forward every day despite them.

I’m writing this not because I feel particularly negative today, but because I have no “friends.”

I mean, I have people that are friendly to me from places like my part-time job, my badminton club, and online.

It’s just that I don’t have what I used to have. Friends that I actually schedule time to hang out with, not just happen to meet because we have the same job or play at the same club.

I’ve been living like this for eight months or so and things are great right now because I learned ways to cope with negative emotions and have fun myself.

I’m writing this article because I remember months back, my parents asked me if I had any friends in school.

When I told them that I had no friends, they weren’t very happy.

“That’s not good. You should have lots of friends,” my parents would tell me and I would respond with one word, “Why?”

They talked a lot about venting and how friends helped cope with negative emotions.

That was one of the main reasons I lost all my friends in the first place.
