If I could list the top ten things a blogger hates, waking up to mean comments would rank very high.

Many new bloggers fear getting haters on their articles to the point that it stops them from writing anything. We end up thinking so much about what other people will say about our article and how they will judge us that we ultimately end up sitting in our beds, scrolling through our phones instead.

I remember being like that, and it stopped me from growing as fast as I wanted to. I wanted to make more money but didn’t want to face the haters that would inevitably come with increased views.

The fear affected me so much that I wouldn’t tell others I blogged. In fact, that was my biggest fear — that people I know in real life would find my blogs and make fun of me.

Over time, however, I got stronger. A lot stronger.

My desire to become a successful blogger outweighed my fear of being criticized. I continued posting and eventually came across hateful and mean comments.

Yes, every time, I was set back and stopped publishing. But every time, I also found a little bit of courage and began developing tools to help me face my fears.
