It’s Not About Your Resources, It’s About Being Resourceful
Having a million dollars is a complete waste if you can’t do anything with it.
When I was a little younger, I had this mindset that stuck with me:
I need this, and this, and this, and this, and that so that I could accomplish what I want to do.
For example, I wanted to make gaming YouTube videos. I told myself that I needed a high-end computer that could handle gaming plus recording, Adobe video editing software, and a studio-grade headset.
Well, eventually I got all of that… from my parents sacrificing a bit of their livelihoods.
I made a few YouTube videos, uploaded them, got a few thousand views over time, and I gave up.
Then some other time later I was getting into design. I was playing around with building a logo and I started thinking about everything I needed.
Oh, I needed courses teaching me Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I needed to become a certified graphic designer. I needed a Wacom tablet so I can make better designs.
Again, I got everything… and did just about nothing with it. I played around with the stuff I got for a little bit, but now it’s just sitting in the dust.
