Slow And Steady Wins The Race
Why fast and steady doesn’t always necessarily work.
We have all heard of the story of the tortoise and the hare.
The tortoise and the hare has a race one day. When the race starts, the hare sprints through the first half of the race.
Seeing that the tortoise is nowhere to be found, the hare decides to take a long nap. Eventually, the tortoise surpasses the hare and finishes the race in first place because the hare failed to wake up.
I used to twist this story a lot.
I would say, “Well, if the hare didn’t fall asleep, then he would have beat the tortoise.”
I remember watching some movie or TV show — too bad I forgot what it was — and one specific character was replying to a person talking about the hare and the tortoise in which he said, “But you know what? The hare won every race after the first.”
I loved hearing that because I do believe fast and steady wins the race.
Things have been slowly changing, especially after today.
Fast and steady will definitely win the race, but the question is, “How can you maintain your speed and stay steady?”
There is a delicate balance to your speed and energy.
