False beliefs have hurt my ability to do things for far too long. Are they hurting you too?

I always thought I sucked. I thought I was an average badminton player, average student, and someone who could never succeed as an entrepreneur.

And all of those things came true.

My marks dropped like crazy and I started losing all my badminton games. These failures hit hard and it reinforced the beliefs that I sucked.

So then I started believing that I could never succeed as an entrepreneur either.

I stopped trying to make new ideas work and I stopped writing.

The kid that wanted to go to Stanford University at one point was gone. The kid that thought he could become the best badminton player in the world was gone. And the kid that thought he could live a financially free life was gone too.

I started believing that I was going to be homeless. Or that I was going to be that guy living paycheck to paycheck off of a minimum wage job.

And I was slowly turning into that guy…
