The scientific gains and also the emotional benefits.

I am blessed to be so fit and healthy.

I have a lean look with muscles that I’m proud of and the ability to perform well in a variety of sports.

But there was a time where I wasn’t confident in my body.

Back in middle school, whenever we went to the pool or into the change room, I would make sure that my body was completely flexed.

My abs only showed when I was flexing. Otherwise, it looked like any other normal belly.

It turned into a habit.

Every time someone got close to me, I would immediately flex my abs.

It used to be difficult keeping my abs flexed for long periods of time, so I slowly stopped flexing as much.

Interestingly, however, I kept my abs and also gained new confidence.

Flexing, An Isometric Exercise

I first understood how I got abs despite not doing many core exercises after watching an anime called How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift or Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru in Japanese.

The anime presents a lot of good information on exercising and working out in a comedic way.
